merging galaxy

Our Galaxy is currently engaged with a galaxy called The Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy. I can’t help but wonder if this is where these comets are coming from. Watch how an arm from Sagittarius descends onto the location in the Milky Way where our Solar System resides.

Credits of all clips and images are off The University of Virginia’s “Relations” website and this video is meant for research and educational purposes only.

Also check out their number crunching website of volunteers contributing their PC’s to assist in identifying the elements of The Sagitarrius Dwarf Galaxy.
